What THaiculator actually does

No black box. The rules are deliberately small, versionable and inspectable.

01

Count the legal date

TM30 uses the accommodation start date + 1 day. TM47 uses entry or the previous report + 90 days.

02

Apply the correct direction

TM30 office handling moves forward to the next working day. TM47 office planning moves back to the previous working day.

03

Explain every adjustment

Weekends and bundled Thai public holidays are shown in the result instead of silently changing the date.

A calculator answers one date.
THaiva keeps the whole stay in context.

Save passports, visas, addresses, entries and exits. Track immigration matters, prepare documents and keep the next action visible instead of recalculating everything from scratch.

A few important details

Why can the legal date and the office date be different?+

Immigration obligations have a legal or domain date, but an office may be closed on a weekend or public holiday. THaiculator keeps the legal date visible and separately shows the working-day date used by the THaiva calculator logic.

Why does TM30 move forward while TM47 can move backward?+

For TM30, the current THaiva rule resolves a non-working legal due date to the next working day. For TM47 office planning, the calculator resolves to the previous working day so an office visit is not recommended after a closed due date.

What happens if I calculate a year without a holiday file?+

The date arithmetic and weekend logic still work, but THaiculator will clearly flag that public-holiday coverage is incomplete. Add the matching year file under data/holidays/ and redeploy to restore full holiday-aware results.

Is this legal advice or an official Thai government service?+

No. THaiculator is a planning utility powered by THaiva. It does not replace official Thai immigration guidance, local office instructions or professional legal advice. Always verify a material deadline when your circumstances are unusual.
